Hello Brothers and Sisters,
As most of you know this is a bargaining year so we all need to be prepared in the event a strike is called August 3rd. Also we have already started mobilization activities. When you get gas in your company vehicle pump $20.19. Also buy a red shirt and put it over your chair in the office or the passenger seat in your work vehicle. Also wear blue shirts on Monday's white shirts on Wednesday's and orange or red on Thursday. I understand Wiretechs can not order but one color shirt so you can wear these colors under your uniform shirt. We have red rubber wrist bands and CWA buttons on the way. We have to show the company we are unified. If we are not willing to stand together and do the little things how can we expect you to be willing to go on strike to obtain a fair contract.
Each of my job stewards will be bringing each member a form to fill out with your contact info. In the event we should go out on strike we need to be able to contact you. Once I have everyone's personal cell phone number I will be building a text group on Remind for each work group. So if you get a message from Mr. Smith adding you to Remind please accept. This way I can send mass messages to everyone.
Something that has been brought to my attention, is people doing work that they are not supposed to be doing. Everyone should NOT be doing work that is not in their scope of work. This will ensure there is plenty of work for everyone to have job security. If your Manager is telling to lie steal and cheat, have them put it in writing. I also want to caution you if you are taking your company Ipad and or IPhone home. In the event either gets stolen while in your possession, you will be suspended. LEAVE THEM AT WORK. If your manager ha not provided you with a locking bin to keep it in at your office I need to know about it. The same goes for all Capital tools.
And lastly, thank you for all you do. A very big thank you to all our retiree's for all their sacrifices over the years to get the contract that we have. Most of us have not had to walk a picket line for the benefits that we get. Now its our turn. Really tired of they way all our members are mistreated by AT&T. Now is OUR TURN to stand up for ourselves. If we want change we have to stand together. Stay safe out there.
IN UNITY
